Chipboard
Chipboard is a 100% recycled fiber product produced from corrugated cartons, folding cartons, newsprint or other items that offers strength and durability for a variety of uses. The product is measured on its thickness, and comes in many different densities and custom sizes based on your needs and applications.
Common uses for Chipboard include: Slip sheets, inserts, dividers, protectors, cell partitions, pad backs, stiffeners, gaskets, headers, skid bottoms and game boards.
Other types of paperboard available include:
White clay coated news back (WCNB). Calipers .016 – .032″ This has a hard white finish on one side with a gray coloring on the opposite side.
White clay coated kraft back (WCKB). Calipers .016 – .032″ This produce has a hard white finish on one side with brown coloring on the opposite side.
White vat chipboard. Calipers .020 – .150″ Bleached white on one or both sides. 5 ton minimum order, 10,000 LB.
Solid bleach sulfate (SBS). Calipers .010 – .026″ This product is a solid white board with a clay coating on one or both sides.
Dyed board. Calipers available .020 – .150″. Mills can run chipboard into a color. Example: Black, blue, red, etc. Truckload quantities only.
Solid kraft. Calipers .022 – .115″. Made of 100% virgin fibers. Not recycled. Very rigid, strong board.
